PARENTS: We had fun with our eggs and learning how fluoride helps protect our teeth. Hopefully we'll all have stronger, cleaner teeth as we brush better! We also did an experiment using a candle to gather carbon atoms from a plate. I am making every effort to post my blogs early so the students have the weekend to do their work.
For Tuesday: Read Lesson 10 on oxygen, take notes, write your vocab + definitions. Read about Oxidation p43, but the experiment is optional if you have time and materials on hand. Also read about Allotropes p 40 and add the vocab words to Lesson 9. We will do the other 2 experiments in class Tues.
Choose one project: either write a summary of Carbon Allotropes p 40 (1/2 page typed, double spaced) OR draw by hand or with downloaded images the Carbon Cycle as explained p 38.
I hope this isn't too much. I want to devote Tuesday's class to playing Jeopardy to review for the quiz on Lesson 5-10 which will be a take home test due Fri. Oct 1st.
