PARENTS: we tried understanding the difference between a scale and a balance using cups, string, a ruler, and a rubber band. Although mine didn't work very accurately, you will need to make these at home to use later. Please refer to p. 27 in the book.
Homework for Tues. is to Read Lesson 6, take notes, write vocab in notebook. Please set up the experiment p 30. It takes several days to complete and use the balance you make from p 27. This will be due Friday the 4th.
For the experiment p. 31, I purchased a $5 scale at Walmart. It has grams and ounces; it's called a Diet Scale. The experiment is due Tues. on the worksheet I provided in class. I will only accept the assignment late if you contact me that you have difficulty obtaining the scale. Students: make sure your parents read this blog.
Study 5 new elements: Neon-Oxygen, as well as reviewing Gadolinium-Hassium for our next quiz. This one will not have extra credit.
