PARENTS: my apologies to all of you. As I explained to the boys, I had planned out the lessons from the book as though the semester ended before Christmas. I am reworking my schedule to go through mid-January, including the schedule for the Scientist Research Paper. I'M GIVING UNTIL NEXT TUESDAY FOR YOU TO TRY TO FIND A BOOK + 2 INTERNET SOURCES FOR YOUR SCIENTIST. If you've exhausted all possibilities for a book, then just have the boys bring 3 internet sources. I will have a new schedule by Friday.
For Friday, study 3 new elements as listed on previous blog + review all C elements. We will have 2 questions from Lesson 21 + extra credit.
Do the Acid Test experiment p. 88, using your purple cabbage indicator. You do not need to Read Lesson 22. We will do that in class. Write up your experiment in the usual way. This should only take 15 min.
Find information from the internet, avoiding Wikipedia, on your topic from p. 86. This should be 1 1/2 to 2 pages long. Short papers will have a 10% deduction. Do not use large fonts, wide margins to make it seem longer. Defining some technical words will give you more length. Call if you have any questions.
